Metz, France

One week after the 12th triumph in the French Cup at Adidas arena, in Paris, Metz HB continued their record run at Ligue Butagaz Energie.  In the final match of the 2023/24 season the team of head coach, Emmanuel Mayonnade, needed a win to secure the 26th championship ever since the club was promoted to the top league in France back in 1986.

As it turned out 7th ranked Plan de Cuques would not stand in the way of another triumph. By the time the two teams changed sides, Metz already enjoyed a comfortable seven-goal lead and when all was said and done team captain, Chloe Valentini lifted the second trophy within the last seven days.

For Louise Vinter Burgaard (Odense HB), Kristina Jorgensen (Györ AUDI ETO), Mia Brkic (Podravka Koprivnica), Alina Grijseels (CSM Bucuresti), Julie Le Blevec (Saint Amand), Hatadou Sacko (Györ AUDI ETO) and Emma Tuccella (ATH Handball) it was their last game at Les Arenes, while goalkeeper Melanie Halter will be on loan to Mosonmagyarovari KC until 2025.

Metz Hb vs Plan de Cuques 36:22 (15:8)
